Disciplinary contextualisation of transversal competence in Finnish local curricula : the case of multiliteracy, mathematics, and social studies

Competence-based education is a widely implemented educational approach, but more research is needed into the relationship between transversal competences and individual disciplines. In this article, we present the results of a study focusing on how the transversal competence of multiliteracy is contextually defined in Finnish local curricula in the disciplines of mathematics and social studies. The article offers new insights into the discussion between content- and competence-based educations by introducing the concept of disciplinary contextualisation. Projektu izmantošana skolēnu iniciatīvas uzņemšanās uzlabošanai angļu valodas stundās 5.klasēs

Projekts “Skola 2030” pakāpeniski ievieš pārmaiņas Latvijas izglītības sistēmā, kompetenču izglītībai esot vienai no šīm izmaiņām. No skolotājiem tiek gaidīts, ka viņi iemācīs skolēniem astoņas mūžizglītības galvenās pamatprasmes, tomēr dažas no tām, piemēram, pašiniciatīva un uzņēmējdarbība, ir grūtāk attīstāmas. Šis atsevišķā gadījuma pētījums tāpēc tika veidots, lai izpētītu, vai projekti var tikti izmantoti skolēnu pašiniciatīvas uzlabošanai angļu valodas stundās piektajās klasēs. Trīs dažādi projekti tika iekļauti nodarbībās, un žurnāls, novērošanas kontrollapa un aptaujas tika izmantotas, lai noteiktu, vai kādas pārmaiņas bija notikušas.
